Recorder offers clear and easy recording

I have used this device with the 5th generation video iPod in its class. So far I've recorded several short voice notes using this element, which have been posted individually on my website or combined into a longer podcast. The quality, even at low levels, sounds great! Dropouts are rare or non-existent. I purchased this item based on reviews from a reputable Mac-focused website and Revain, and I don't regret it one bit!

Don't believe everything you read.

I almost bought this unit after reading a number of negative reviews where others said their radios didn't work. I recently bought mine to record guitar camp sessions. It worked as advertised. I imported the audio files into Audacity to make them louder and improve fidelity as the levels were very low. Haven't tried line-in recording yet, but based on the internal mic for memo recording, I would recommend this product.

Good, but! in Digital Voice Recorders

I had two Micromemo XtremeMac mics, I was forced to buy a second mic after the first one was stolen. The first mic was impressive, good sound quality for a broadcast. But the 2D mic, which I also use for broadcasting, has a serious white noise issue that pops up from time to time when recording. White noise usually occurs in large rooms, but not when recording outdoors. He tends to appear in recorded conversations. First of all, the microphone is very good, but the fact that I have suchโ€ฆ

Extremely useful for digital voice recorders

I found this device very important to me. This is the only way I know of to record from new generation iPods. It gave me the opportunity to compose music and share it with my friends in a way that would be impossible. I _owe_ this MicroMemo 5 stars, it has served me well and it has served with as good a sound quality as I can hope for from such a small device these days. I may be naive, but this seems like the best way to go if you want to record something long like lectures, music, or evenโ€ฆ

Micromemo - Disgusting signal-to-noise ratio but excellent J&R service

I was very disappointed to find that the Micromemo's signal-to-noise ratio was abysmal - 40dB, comparable to a cheap one Cassette recorders of yesteryear. Thankfully, when J&R Music World (who ordered Revain as an affiliate supplier) received my bad review, they emailed me and happily refunded my money! Great service J&R! Not only are they actively looking for customer reviews, but they also took the initiative to contact me for a refund - wow! Hopefully Extreme eventually resolves theโ€ฆ

Easy to use, good sound quality

I bought this product to use in my music lessons, both to record my class singing together and individual students individually. For this purpose it works very well. It's extremely easy to use. I originally tried the Voice Recorder with my personal 5th generation iPod classic and there was a loud hissing sound on this recording. When I took it to school and tried it with my school 6th gen iPod the hiss was gone and I was very happy (there is some background noise but no more than I expected for

I understand why it was discontinued.

When I first discovered this item I was so excited that it was so much cheaper and easier than any other iPod recorder that I ordered it before reading the reviews. Immediately after ordering, I closed the window and noticed reviews emphatically stating that it didn't meet my requirements and had serious problems. Within an hour of placing my order, Revain refused to cancel it. I messaged the seller who didn't reply until they sent it. The product arrived the next day and was placed in myโ€ฆ

Suppressed Optimism - Digital Voice Recorders

I bought this unit hoping to use my new iPod 5th Gen as a Digital Lecture Recorder but found it didn't live up to my expectations. The brilliant man at Apple told me that after creating "voice notes" that couldn't be transferred to a computer and were partially unusable, the notes couldn't be recorded for more than 20 minutes or the file would start to grow deteriorate. So I started stopping the recording after 20 minutes or less and I was still having problems with about 30% of the files being
