What the heck did I just buy? I received an elbow with no handles and no hose! on the sight glass and on top of that not on the PSI, but overall a very bad manifold.

Return and purchase with aluminum elbow. The device leaked the first time it was used. The vacuum doesn't hold. The seals kept falling out of the hoses. It's not uncommon for a new set of hoses, but they just screamed when the hoses were moved. Most terminate when the connection is dropped. I also didn't like that the temperature values are given in degrees Celsius. Made it annoying when Sub Cool was reviewed.

Gauges worked well One of the hoses was leaking but not worth the time and money to return it, just used hoses from an old set as they are all very cheap appear . In addition, the yellow hose is also a 1/4" fitting (r12 style) and will not connect to standard 30lb R134 cylinders without an adapter. Overall it's a decent price but it's very cheap and good for light use if you have spares. id your only setup, I would spend a little more for one that doesn't leak and is a real/complete kit.

However, it will not fit R-134 connectors without purchasing separate adapters. I bought what I thought they said I needed but I didn't. What you need to buy is a quick connector, one for the high side and one for the low side. I finally ordered them and am now waiting for two weeks of expected delivery. My local NAPA store will sell me the same thing - today - but for $37 each!

Manifold fits and works well, claiming useful with R134a is wrong, high pressure gauge not good for R134a, pressure scale too low, I had to buy a proper high pressure gauge to go with it worked on the car, finally i spent so much on adapters and the right high pressure gauge that i had to buy a manifold pressure gauge kit which came complete with adapters and the right pressure gauge and ready to use. There's a reason the price is so low, buyers beware!

Oh when will I learn to read reviews before buying? You must purchase connectors before using this set. And you also need to buy a coolant adapter. Although it says "R134A" in the description, the hose size doesn't fit the R134A adapter. (Obviously this is the right size for R12.) I bought this because of the cheap price. After purchasing the correct plugs/adapters I really should have spent the money on a better kit.

Literally opened the packaging and quickly found that one of the hose connections was missing a thread. Yes, there really wasn't a thread. There is a female connector to connect the hose to either an automatic quick disconnect or a refrigerant bottle and there were no threads. It looks like the manufacturing process missed that connection. I had to use a tap to create the thread myself in order for this thing to work. I'm also not 100% sure the high pressure gauge is accurate.
