Arrived quickly and as expected. Bought to replace a lampshade with a non-replaceable lightbulb. Love that it has the option to change the bulb and it's a nice bright light. The only negative is that I wish the neck was a little longer. However, it still works fine. Highly recommended!

I just ordered a second bsmy. I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a lamp that1. Has a clip.2. Has a switch on the lamp as opposed to a cord.3. Features a standard 120V power cord.4. You can replace the light bulb.5. Standard bulbs are used. Surprisingly this is the only lamp on the market with all these features!

Unfortunately there is no space for a standard lamp. Need more light - I use this gooseneck attached to a tall bookshelf - rotated to the ceiling. It performs the function of a floor lamp flashlight. The switch is too high up to reach, so I turn it on and off with the power switch using a 10ft extension cord plugged into the surge protector on the floor! It works great - gives me a lot more light!

I use this on my laptop at night and it works very well. Comes with a nice spare bright bulb. The clamp has a rubber grip, which is good because it won't scratch the table. The lamp is light and the neck is very flexible. It doesn't have a very long neck, so the spotlight can be a little lower than the table than some other lights, but it's fine for my purposes. I am happy with this purchase.

Update 10/09/2018: One year of use and it works well. Still happy with it. Original Review Jan 2018: Love it, works well, easy to fit, bend and hold in place, easy to move and gives good light. The metal parts are strong and the plastic parts are even stronger and work very well. Pros Comes with a bulb that works like a 40 watt bulb. Price. Cons: The black plastic covering the flexible neck is very thin and has a plasticky feel. But no one notices this unless touched.

Bought for work because I hate fluorescent lights on the ceiling. This lamp is fixed to the top of a 4.5 foot wall to which a table is attached. I turn off the overhead light and point this lamp up at the ceiling and it illuminates my workspace without being glaring. Workers on other shifts living in the same room turn the lamp on the table for brighter light. It's versatile and suitable for our needs (for those who don't like fluorescent ceiling lights). This is a great bedside lamp - extremely flexible, with a metal shade and a retaining clip that opens wide. 1 star deducted because of the rubber buffers in the clamps. I didn't want the bad smell (to me at least) of the rubber sticking out over my head for hours every night. To solve this problem, I removed the pads (an easy task) and carefully covered the area that still smelled of rubber with brown. powdered and liquid dishwashing detergent without the smell of "paste" and leave for a week…
