Took $20 to watch my cats have fun for 15 minutes. Yes, yes, that was it. Will it be a good toy for kids? .not with that kind of battery life .and the fish don't go deep enough to be of interest to people with depth perception. The cats liked that the fish were close to the surface. but I think the kids would be disappointed.

Sorry to give a bad review. Today is Tuesday, the fish arrived on Saturday, my son played with it for a few days. Everything is fine. The batteries came in a plastic bag. I'm sitting here at my desk in a fully air conditioned room and didn't touch the battery at all and suddenly the BATTERY EXPLOADED ITSELF SUCCESSFULLY #yikes I'm so thankful to God they inches away from me so no damage done, but it's awfully wild.

First, the box arrived strange, I'd like to take a picture. But it looks like I definitely got someone's payout. Of the 4 fish, one didn't work, even with new batteries. The other three only lasted a few hours before their batteries died. I definitely expected longer. Haven't tried changing the batteries yet, but I don't have high hopes. Cheap. Wouldn't recommend or buy again.

This list of issues with this product is likely to get longer, but if any of these issues took 15 minutes into action, I'd rather throw my money straight in the trash. #1 Do not label this as a bath toy if it shorts out and there is a problem with water getting into the battery connector. I bought a pair of these from another brand and they worked great but at a very high price for each one. I bought this cute toy to teach my cat to swim. All 5 fish did a great job. Three days after I used them, they started dying; the lights blinked less brightly and more frequently, the tails barely moved, and the fish were lethargic. I ordered these for our cats and they are really fun but as soon as you take them out of the water to dry you will notice rust from the batteries, it would be a real hassle to take the batteries out every time you use them you. There is mention of a weight that can be removed or added depending on where you want your fish to swim underwater.
