The microphone deviates and people tell me that it is very loud even when I speak at a reasonable distance, people also say that it starts to distort during transmission

Wanted a speaker mic for my Yaesu FT3-DR and this mic works great. Good sound quality and in other words my voice sounds great without excessive modulation. Great microphone, worth the money.

The item I received works great with my radio. However, the packaging could be greatly improved. Thought I might have to return it because the packaging looked like it had been used like a soccer ball during a game. The microphone worked without scratches and breaks.

I have a Yaesu HT3D and yes the sound quality is not as good as other radios. I bought this for two reasons: 1. To improve the sound 2. To move the radio a little further away from my head when transmitting. It serves both purposes well. Especially the sound. It's sad that I had to spend more money to improve the sound of such a great radio but that's it. I would buy the radio again. I would also like to have this microphone.
