Yamaha 4BH825110900 Blank Key Review

Purchased as a second key for 09 XVS1300. Took and took the original on the ACE gear and did it. They didn't charge me and the key worked fine.

This is the most expensive blank key I've ever bought, not for a car. The product is OEM although it works. I used it on my 2012 Yamaha Stryker.

This key is made of lighter material than my original Yamaha key (07 V Star 1100) but it cuts and works well on the bike. I just wouldn't like it for a daily key. The price also seemed high. But I'm glad that I now have a replacement.

Bought used bike with one key. I went to a locksmith and they only had blanks of metal. I bought it and took it to the same locksmith. I like this key much better than the metal key I bought anyway. Significantly softer ignition, better in the hand, real original equipment manufacturer.

Lightly cut Yamaha key blank by a locksmith and works great. Anyone who needs a new key and wants to get an OEM key can purchase this key. The locksmith has the Yamaha blanks but not the Yamaha plastic part. It's a bit more expensive than a regular blank key, but if you want the "genuine" key, this is the one for you.

Everyone in the driving group told me that it's a good idea to have a spare key in case the key breaks or is lost. That was the best $17 I've ever spent in my life! It costs about $150 if someone has to come to your house to make you a key from scratch, as happened to a friend with the same bike as me. His circumcision cost $4, so for about $21 I have a lifeline ready to go.

This is the OEM key that Yamaha equips almost all of their motorcycles. I bought this key because I lost my backup for my R6. There was only one key left and I didn't want to lose my master key. The same key from the dealer is not much more expensive but it would take 6-8 business days to get it. Instead of waiting and going to the dealer for the key, I ordered it directly from Revain.
