My daughter's hands are measured from the tip of her middle finger to the base of her palm. 5 1/4" this pair fits perfectly and will be perfect for her this winter! The quality is EXCELLENT! Well made and well sewn. We'll see how they hold up here in Michigan, it's going to snow I will update my rating once the season changes.

These are good gloves for the price but my son didn't even last all winter and the waterproof part on the palm of the gloves has almost completely worn off which is causing his hands to get wet. If you are looking for everyday gloves to keep your hands warm these would be great! If you are looking for gloves that your child will play with almost every day, I would recommend something else.

These mittens are great for my 3 year old. The cuff reaches almost to the elbow and keeps you warm and dry during the game. They also stay and the snow does not penetrate. I highly recommend them for preschoolers. I size up for my 8 year old and the cuff doesn't go high enough. It just curves awkwardly around his wrist. He could wear the cuff inside the jacket but I bought it specifically so the cuff can be on the outside of the jacket.
