A fun but confusing guide for beginners

Well done. The only thing that confuses me is that the instructions are useless if you have never embroidered before. I landed on youtube how to do all the stitches. Plus it was fun and the colors are beautiful.

NOT USED FOR CROSS STITCH AT ALL

I will try but none of the stitches in the guide are cross stitch. Should have read the reviews more carefully. I, like many people, was looking for cross stitch for exactly this. If all goes well, but so far - the product name is VERY misleading!

For beginners? good for crafts

I don't have the same problem as most of not being able to see the design. However, the description says it's for beginners, so I figured there was some sort of guide included. There are many different stitches used and a description of how to do them, but the descriptions read like a translation of a translation and make little to no sense. I was forced to go to google and look up how to do each stitch.

Don't just rely on the instructions provided, google them if you run into any problems.

I'm not technically a beginner, but this is my first project since my 6th hit, so I think I'm suitable. The instructions are a bit complicated for some stitches. Google the names of the stitches you're having trouble with (I highly recommend a site called The Spruce - it's a general lifestyle blog, recipes, crafts, how-to articles and videos for just about anything), and if you do, all of them If you don't understand, choose an easier stitch that you understand.

Great starter kit!

This was my very first embroidery project and I am very happy with how it turned out! The materials and patterns provided were great, but I had to google some stitches and watch video tutorials because the instructions alone weren't enough. I had particular trouble with French Beans and Outline Stitch, but figured it out after watching the French Knot and Quilt Stitch tutorials respectively. Not for beginners or those who value their eyesight.

This is not for beginners! Or anyone who values their eyesight and sanity. The pattern is executed in red ink on dark grey/black fabric. It's so hard to see the pattern! Also, the instructions are full of typos and make little sense! There is no order or where to start and where to end. This pattern is a fight! Newcomers, watch out! If you buy this just toss the instructions in the bin and watch a YouTube video to learn how to sew. Be prepared to poke your fingers a lot because of the poor…
