The filter itself looks good, is easy to install and no change in Shop Vac performance has been noticed after installation. The problem with this project is the pre-filter. It's too small to install. I've tried every possibility except cropping, putting the pre-filter on top of the main filter and found that it didn't work. So it doesn't fit.

Just wanted to write a quick review. If you read and look at the product page, there are 2 filters there. You can use both. The black foam filter fits over the airway without having to use an existing retention cap. The large white filter fits over the airway and uses the existing retention cap to secure it. Good quality and durability for the price. The only thing that bothered me was that the paper filter didn't have a bottom cap or lid. So he leaves it open and therefore blows the dust out through another outlet.

If you buy a filter just because it has foam in it, forget it. It's too narrow to even get on the filter. I spent quite a bit of time stretching and cautiously trying to reach the end. Eventually it broke and became unusable. The filter medium is ok. Thinner than I would like but it fits the car and should work fine.
