A very simple device. Works for *some* floppies.

I use Macbook Pro 2014 Discount I believe the drive can only mount HD floppy disks. Old 400k and 800k disks will not mount. I'm not sure if this is a disk limitation or my operating system.

Sounds more like a paper shredder than a floppy disk drive.

I was initially happy with this drive as it worked with a Windows 10 PC, but after about two hours of cumulative use the drive started making noises like it was chewing discs instead of reading them and it started up to refuse to read disks. Luckily this happened within the 30 day return period so everything was back to normal.

It works: Storage

Running Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit OS. Plug the floppy drive into the USB port and it will read the device like a regular USB device. I went through the disk files I had on hand since 1999 and placed them on my desktop. Stunning things.
