Zyliss Smoothglide Potato and Vegetable Swivel Peeler - White/Gray Review

Most of the time everything is fine. But with some types of carrots, especially straight from the ground, the flesh is too soft and doesn't cook well. 95% of the time it's just fine. The eye remover works great.

what a piece of crap. Anyone with a cap over the blade allows the shell to snag on the plastic above. Then you keep reaching for the bowl. I will never buy a closed blade again!

I had a green Zyliss peeler that I loved but lost. Ordered this as a replacement. This scrub does not flake off. I think the blade was cut incorrectly, but it won't clean potatoes or carrots. It's useless to me.

Works very well. I wish the color of the product wasn't white. White plastic is colored depending on the type of food peeling. Beets make it pink, carrots turn white plastic into dirty orange. The coloring doesn't come off.

We bought this brand because the previous one from the same brand lasted a long time and was sharp most of the time. However, this one because it becomes dull after a few months. We couldn't return it because the return time had expired, so we ordered another brand to replace it.

I have an old model of this green knife that I like a lot. I'm disappointed that they completely changed the design. It's not as ergonomic as the old one and doesn't seem to cover as much surface area on each pass. It's sharp enough, but I don't want it to be altered.

The first one was only blunt in one direction (only one of the two edges of the blade was sharpened properly). In the other direction it didn't peel off at all. I sent it back and got a replacement. And now both edges of the replacement were dull, I couldn't even peel the carrot. Zyliss QA must have turned into complete crap, very frustrating. I have had two of her Y scrubs in the last 10 years and both have been excellent.

The Zyliss Smoothglide cleaning line is my absolute favorite. This is my top choice as the blade cleans fine without removing too much pulp from the product being cleaned. When this new model came out with a white handle, I had doubts about the shape and color of the handle, but the blade was dull in the old version. Since the old model with the green handle was overpriced, I took the risk and ordered this newer model. First, my instincts about the shape of the grip were correct. The square…
