What is Bitget Wallet
Bitget Wallet, called BitKeep until August 2023, is a self-custodial crypto wallet for iOS, Android and Chrome, operated by BGW Technology Limited. It started in 2018; Bitget took a controlling stake in March 2023. It supports 130+ blockchains and adds swaps, earn products, crypto cards and payments.
Who holds the keys
| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Key control | Non-custodial: only the user controls the private key and mnemonic phrase. |
| Recovery | Bitget Wallet does not store, retrieve or restore private keys or mnemonics and cannot reverse transactions. |
| Account model | Optional social-login wallet (Google, Apple ID or email) without a seed phrase: the key is split into three shares and signing uses multi-party computation. |
| Key storage | Social-login key shares sit with the email account, on the phone, and in the user's iCloud or Google Drive backup. |
Features and supported networks
| Parameter | Details |

| Platforms | Mobile app for iOS and Android, Chrome extension, and Bitget Wallet Lite. |

| Buy / sell | Visa and Mastercard crypto cards, local buy and cash-out options, and support for 100+ fiat currencies. |
| Staking | Earn products on stablecoins and major tokens. |
| dApp browser | DApp access, approval checks and revocation, and phishing-site warnings. |
Security and audits
- The wallet app is not open source; Bitget Wallet says the swap base code is open source, and its GitHub organisation holds swap, bridge and SDK repositories.
- Bitget Wallet says SlowMist and CertiK audited its contracts and the core code of Bitget Swap and its NFT marketplace; no report links are given on its security page.
- Mnemonics and private keys are encrypted on the device with a custom double-encryption scheme (DESM, sha256 + aes256 + cloud verification), and actions require a passcode.
- A $300 million user protection fund, shared with Bitget, covers losses caused by issues in the Bitget Wallet platform itself; claims go to support within 30 days.
- On 25 September 2026 Bitget Wallet stated that a security incident at Bitget Exchange did not affect its systems or users' self-custodied assets.
Fees
| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Swaps | Dynamic swap fees that change with market conditions; wrapping native tokens is free (rate not published as a fixed percentage, as of 31 October 2026). |

How voting works
Votes are anonymous and carry no text. Each device has one vote per item; press the same button again to remove it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is voting. We keep a random device ID in a cookie and a salted hash of the IP address to limit abuse — no names, no accounts. Votes are visitors’ opinions, not investment advice.
