Honestly, not my preferred fabric since it’s polyester, but it’s not the thin kind. It has a nice stretch to it, and it will be quick to dry in the summer sun. So I’m totally pleased. It’s extremely flattering, especially with curves. I want one in all the different styles. I got the tropical leaf print and I think the fabric print distracts from the polyester. I didn't think I could love a bike helmet as much as I love this helmet. I bought this for my 11y/o boy before our trip to Block Island this summer. It was a hit! He got all sorts of compliments! He was virtually the only child on the island that week that had it and it bumped up his 'cool factor' by millions. I can't rate the sun protection, since I'm wearing it during non-summer and using it as a 'layer'. Nighttime indoor layer as well as outdoor under-layer.
