I have a jack-chi and bought a small. It doesn't sit on the neck as it should. It covers below the neck down to the upper front legs making my poor baby take awkward short steps. I basically had to pull him from the front yard to get him to walk. He was falling over and winning until I carried him back home, changed into his previous harness, and he was all better and had no problem completing his 2 mile walk. I ordered 2 pairs of these for my boys . A 6T and 2T they where true to size and fit my boys really well. Down side is that the color verys ( not mentioned) One is a darker gray then the other which bothered me as I was doing Xmas photos of them wearing them and wanted them to match .
