I recently purchased a pre-filter sponge for my aquarium pump, and I am extremely pleased with its effectiveness. Not only does it provide an extra layer of filtration, but it also prevents debris from entering the pump itself. the sponge is easy to install and fits snugly on the pump intake. As for cons, i wish it came in different sizes to fit all types of pumps.
