1. Whatever stain was used on the wood comes off immediately. Not completely, but one swipe of a finger and the stain is all over your fingertip.2. I just installed this today. It did not come with instructions for installation or enough screws and threaded anchors for (what seems to me) an excess of 8 screw holes in the rack. I was short two of each but used my own and fastened it to the wall with 8 screws. I guess there is no chance of it falling off the wall anyway. They're just ok. Not as much sticking power as the BandAid brand blister covers. I was able to use this for one day in my car when the wildfire smoke was bad and it definitely seemed to help.It does not move a ton of air as it is the size of a portable coffee container, one should never expect much air displacement from something so small, let alone run through a filter on batteries.I've found turning it on and off a little frustrating as it doesn't seem to respond the quickest.You definitely want to keep this thing UPRIGHT. I am happy with the counter mats. They have a nice feel - - soft and flexible, and fit exactly from the back to the front of my countertop. I put one next to my stove and the other next to the kitchen sink - - areas most used for cooking prep and cleanup. They don't slide around; they provide cushioning and protect the marble surface without being too thick.
