This is a very nice boot. The color in the picture threw me as I thought it might be golden or a marbled look. They are actually a pretty even medium brown. No yellow blotches. A very nice even medium brown. I am returning them because I didn't look closely enough at the stitching. It is very light, with a lighter boot base. So, I thought I would get this to use for a night out in the summer. We had a semi-formal work event at a county club so I wore this. It looked appropriate for the event, but it didn't feel light and loose like I had expected. While it is fitted, the way the top part lays over the dress it makes it look too big on me. Unfortunately, it is not made to withstand heavy snowfall and there is no safe way to remove the snow from it during a snowstorm. We made it one winter without issues, but this year the whole thing collapsed. We did like it for the fall for keeping leaves out and for protecting kids from falling in. I bought these due to the reviews. Upon actually reading them it seems a lot of the positive reviews are for other things. These shoes are swap meet quality. I bought these for my son who doesn't regularly wear socks and loves to jump in puddles. His shoes will stink up fast and he grows out of them by 3-4 months.
