This seat works great for our newborn. We get him all set up in the seat, and then pop him into the base which we leave mounted in our car. The seat is easy to use and no funky or clunky adjustments. This is a very small ring. It seems better suited for a cartilage piercing rather than a septum ring. I love the colors of the ring, but unfortunately, you can't see it very well! I do kind of have a big nose, but I was hoping to see a little of the gold too.
