If you want a "weighted" blanket, this is a heavy one. If you want it to be functional too, this might not be it. To use this and sit forward, put heavy strain on your forearms as they go through the slots. Literally after a few seconds, red dents appeared from the pressure and it became very painful. I'm not a crybaby and it hurts me a lot to say it hurts! My son tried it and had to admit that it was really uncomfortable. It will be returned and another item will be ordered. I really wanted this to work, but maybe it will work for someone else.
