I have had and used many tongs over my lifetime. These are my favorites. Why? they are very comfortable to hold while using. The locking feature saves much space in the storage drawer. I must admit I have never used them with food that has an extremely high heat but then again I rarely cook food on the stovetop that uses extremely high heat. I rarely use more than medium to medium-high heat. They work superbly in that temperature range. I highly recommend them.
