I bought this remote control to replace a broken remote control in my ceiling fan. Wiring is simple and straightforward, so installation was a breeze. It took about 30 minutes to pair it with the app before it finally worked. It took longer than removing the ceiling fan, removing the old remote control, installing it and putting the fan back on. Even then it only worked because I told the app to look for items and not a manual pair as the instructions said. No dimmer as stated in the description. I can't get Alexa to control the light either. She can easily control the fan and change speed, but not the light. I can control the light through the app but not through Alexa. It doesn't make sense why this feature isn't added. All in all, it's still a good buy considering the price. Edit: 08/12/19 The fan has shut down and will not come back online. I have re-paired many times and also cycled the power (circuit breaker). Another reviewer recently had the same issue. Send back!
