Remote control did not work beyond 3 feet regardless of new batteries. then stopped working altogether. We appreciate that there is a timer. I don't think we really need a remote control for this feature. My LO liked the spin brightness (not too much) and the color options, but the spin button became an off button three weeks after the date of purchase. When the button on the device stops working, it's time to charge it. There is a slight vibration/hum during rotation, I doubt this is too important to anyone. worth your money.
