My 2015 Prius air conditioner started intermittently and the dealer said it was a fan problem and offered me $360 to replace it ($250 ). for part and $100 for labor). I came home and did a little research on this and it seemed to me that it was easy enough to fix myself so I bought this part and installed it myself in 15-20 minutes. The hardest part of the installation is unscrewing a screw that's blocked by the bracket. As someone here recommended, I just removed the entire bracket (one Phillips head screw) and the rest was a breeze. There are four screws in the Prius (use either a flathead screwdriver or an 8mm ratchet to remove the fan yourself) and you're done. The item itself works fine. Others have stated that it's a little louder than the OEM part, but I didn't notice any difference. So far, so good. If you're even a little mechanically inclined and own a Prius, save yourself hundreds of dollars and simply buy this replacement part and install it yourself.
