Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Treatlife Smart Ceiling Fan Control and Dimmer Light Switch: Wi-Fi Enabled, Alexa and Google Home Compatible with Remote Control by Andrea Martinez

Combines 2 switches into one. So far the best option I've found for smart fan control.

Replaces Sonoff iFan03 with Treatlife DS03 (this product), Treatlife DS03 outperforms it in almost every way. I'll compare it to this in my review as I think it's the best way to explain it. If I had started with this solution, things would have been much easier. First, like many smart fan controllers, the Sonoff iFan03 doesn't have wall controls. What's more, it can't even be intelligently controlled if you leave the switch plugged in and off. These issues made me look for a better option. Treatlife DS03 has full control of the wallboard and application for lights and fans. iFan03 does not support dimmer for light. If you need dimming functions, you need to use a separate switch. This is installed in the DS03. I can't think of anything else I really need in a smart fan switch. The only downsides I can think of for this product are brains in one, the DS03 is a clumsy boy and it takes a bit of work to mount it properly in a wall box. If I were to put this in a cramped box I would have to use something other than the wire caps that come with it. The advantage over the iFan03 is that all wiring can be done at ground level as the iFan03 cannot be installed in a wall box (it doesn't even fit in the ceiling boxes of some fans) *If you are replacing 2 switches in a double for 2 groups you will need a secondary distributor panel or a decorative panel with cover cap. It's very hard to find 2 gear oriented decorations but they are on kyleswitchplates.com. Treatlife comes with a screwless oversized single panel, although it would look great if I used a single box. The chip is tywe3s and can run Tasmota, but DS03 doesn't seem to like tuya-convert, so soldering or jigs are required unless they find a way to get 3rd party OTA to work. Edit: I have 3 of them now, all running Tasmota 8.5, all need to be re-soldered for firmware. Now I installed Kyleswitchplates SPJCV-E (should have used light almond).
