Purchased for triiming off the blossoms and seed heads of bulbs
It's a two handed operation; one of them has to support the weight of the pruner for balance; It is very light though;I specifically purchased it to trim off seed heads from bulbs; I have hundreds of them and was able to finish the job in just a couple of hours; it sure beat leaning over;;The cutting head rotates some in regard to the handle, so it is easy to align, and I often switched hands;I did try it on a lilac branch and it was able to cut it;However, I think it would be ideally used for flower stalks; There are many other tools that would be better suited to woody stalks;
- To trim plants on the slope.
- The blades were not sharp enough.
