Review on Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm VR Lens - High Resolution 16.2MP by Adithep Saengdern

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

This is my first SLR camera (Previously only soap dishes and professional film) what can I say. Everything in it pleases except for a couple of shortcomings. As I wrote the whale horror lens, but this is not a secret (for me it was decisive that I overpaid only a thousand for it). Also, my little finger falls off the carcass, although my hands do not seem to be a shovel. At ISO above 1600, it makes noise, and not weakly, although this is not the most popular iso, but if used with inexpensive TVs, as I sometimes do, it upsets. I like the electronic filling, for example: what it suggests on the display in the viewfinder is an illuminated or vice versa dark picture, although you need to believe it, adjusted for 2-4 divisions in the minus. Also, with manual focus, it tells you how to focus better ... (Which is rarely necessary, but sometimes useful) If for good, then I'm rather trying to find fault with nonsense after almost 4 months of use, and at the beginning you should have seen my 9x12 smile that did not disappear from the face :D :). If they asked me if I would buy it again, I would definitely say yes, but with only one caveat: "it would be more money, it would probably be better to buy a d7000", and since I didn’t have a chance to be born the son of a billionaire and I haven’t yet, I think this camera is the best choice. IMHO: Take the Body version and a 35mm or 50mm prime with f / 1.2 - f / 1.4 then you will immediately see what this animal is capable of. P. S. This camera should be seen as the first or second rung on a long ladder from amateur to professional.

Pros
  • 1. Rotating screen 2. The ability to shoot FullHD video (Although if I confess, I shot only 1 time for the test) 3. Good colors
Cons
  • 1. 11 AF points are not as many as we would like. 2. A whale lens can be safely dragged to the trash or taken without it). 3. Large lenses block the AF illuminator. 4. Total 1 programmable button 5. Shutter speed at least 1/4000s. not enough for a 50mm f/1.4 lens on a bright sunny day.

Everything is getting old for me as an amateur)
