Photo #1 shows that the neon green collar is about three times lighter than the orange collar. A 15 inch ruler is taped to the wall behind each collar to give you an idea of the amount of light emitted. I return the orange collar and get a second neon green one. Photo #2 shows neon green. Collar after 10 hours of wear. The same 15-inch ruler taped to the wall behind him. Still pretty light! After 12+ hours the collar faded so I stopped testing but it was still bright enough to use. I can't say how long the collar will last, but so far I'm impressed. Also, my dog is small. Instead of cutting off the collar I just left it with a double loop. It fits perfectly and gives more light.
