Good personal speaker but firmware is buggy

This is a good personal speaker that I would recommend if you don't like headphones for meetings and watching videos/courses. Not so much for the music. This is a nice device, hardware, touch controls, sound, microphone quality is good. However, the firmware is buggy and has issues, hence 3 stars. Most problems can be fixed with a firmware update. If so, I'll update my score. Pros: - Voice quality is excellent in both directions for calls, commands or anywhere else, no echo. The microphone is way better than on your laptop or phone. People will notice the difference. (But not as good as a noise-cancelling headset) - Teams integration is excellent when connected to a PC via USB. You will love it. All buttons work great - use the command button and the command desktop will appear. Receive and end calls with the call button. Muting works and, more importantly, syncs the mute state back and forth with the Teams app. This way the device will reflect the mute status when you mute in command app. - Seamless connection with Android phone via Bluetooth. I was able to connect two phones at the same time. Use it for regular phone calls, mobile commands, WhatsApp calls. The volume keys sync the volume on the mobile phone. Not so good things: - On mobile, the call button ends normal calls but not WhatsApp calls, they just continue through the phone's speaker. The mute button works but the mute status doesn't sync to the phone/WhatsApp but I think that's ok. - The noise cancellation on the microphone is not up to par, sometimes it seems to work when you're not speaking, but there is background noise while you're speaking. The commands have noise reduction in the software, which is more useful. Worse: - Bluetooth phone will be disconnected automatically after a while (about 45 minutes) even if the current call will disconnect Bluetooth. The call continues. This is happening with both of my Android phones so it's most likely not an issue with my phones. - Device connect/disconnect prompts are broken, when connecting to PC via USB and plugging in the phone there is no connecting prompt, but there is a prompt when disconnecting. - When connecting to PC via USB and shutting down/putting the PC to sleep, "Power off" prompt but the main LED randomly lights up again and sometimes lights up like the PC is in sleep mode, which is strange . - The lens software is buggy here and all the parameters don't work properly there. You have the option to change the voice to sound for some settings, but the voice will always play anyway. Other: - If you buy the USB only version (Sync 20) it can still be connected to the PC via Bluetooth. But it's even worse, no integration commands work, not even a mute button. The device appears as a regular Bluetooth headset with 2 profiles, Stereo and Handsfree. The voice quality will suffer. Do not do that. If you need a Bluetooth connection to a PC, choose the Sync 20+ model. By default, the audio is a bit heavy. Use the lens app and change the equalizer to flat. I prefer this option. When playing music from your computer, use regular desktop speakers.
