I recently bought a new car with a premium audio system but no CD player. It was hard enough giving up records so I'm not willing to give up CDs for that compressed MP3 sound. I just did a test drive. A slightly bumpy road with the player at about a 40 degree angle in my closed area of the center console. Absolutely no problem. Sound presets sound great with my car system and I can still use the button on the steering wheel to adjust volume and mute. I wanted the backlight for night driving but the buttons are small so care must be taken when driving and trying to set up the player. I think I'll just pretend it's an eight track player and listen to the record from start to finish. (Remember these players?) So stop looking; buy this player; and turn up the volume.
