[Updated 10/23/18] The left Ctrl key doesn't work. I had to take the batteries out a couple of times last week and that fixed the situation. This week he simply refuses to work. Without ctrl to copy and paste this isn't productive enough. I'm considering playing with a Dell KM717. My rating has been changed from 4 stars to 2. [Updated August 13, 2018] I just stumbled across (on YouTube) a similar keyboard from Dell called the Dell KM717 and I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner. It has the same 3.5 stars out of 5 but there could be more reviews. I would definitely like to compare them. I found the key wobbling more annoying than I would like. I also don't like that the left and right arrows are so close to Ctrl and Null. Microsoft has opted for even spacing, but this is one area where even spacing doesn't work. It's harder to find these keys without looking down. In my opinion, there aren't many good keyboard options out there. I wanted to try a mechanical keyboard, but couldn't find one that clicked as quietly as a rubber dome membrane keyboard when typing. Luckily I didn't have any issues with Bluetooth out of the box like the others. I have a desktop computer so I had to buy a bluetooth adapter for this keyboard. I received the Zexmte bluetooth 4.0 adapter and it worked perfectly. I just went to windows 10 settings and clicked add bluetooth device. The tricky part was that the left control button didn't work, the right one did. but ctrl+c didn't work and it was terribly annoying. I googled and found nothing and was about to call Microsoft when I decided to take the battery out and put it back in to restart the keyboard. Well it's fixed. The other thing is that I switched from a Logitech K750 solar keyboard which is plastic and had sticky/scratchy keys out of the box (I bought 3 for my office and some were better than others, mine was worse). And this is a MUCH higher build quality, except for one moment when you're clinging to the edge of these keys they tend to wobble which means you need to get a good connection (by eye only it seems that, If you only stick to the edge of the key, it may fall about halfway before the other corner starts moving. If you move a corner deep enough to touch the metal frame, a keypress will be recorded. So if you just catch a corner but hit the bottom like you probably should, then all is fine. This can be designed to prevent accidental key presses. However, rubber dome keyboards have a higher height and actuation point, so erroneous ones button presses are not a problem). The keys don't dangle on the K750. If you push them into a corner, the whole thing will go straight down. So far I haven't seen any missing letters in my words, so I think everything will be fine. For the most part, it seems to type just like this keyboard, but these keys are smoother and have less space between them. It also has a little less actuation force, if it were a little lower I'd complain, but there's a nice light, airy typing feel right where it is. The description may say something "Optimized feedback and return power". Oh, but the light is pretty bad. I like the one that appears under the metal above the pairing arrow button. But those built into the keys are very dim, and the cutout for the backlight is white. So the difference between the white circle and the slightly lighter white circle is only noticeable if you click on it a few times to see the difference. They should have used the same gray as the light above the up arrow. Gray against white is obvious. Matte white versus bright white - no. Honestly, I think this item would have gotten better reviews if expectations weren't so high. For the price you really expect top. But part of that prize goes to building materials. The magnesium alloy that Microsoft has is amazing. It's worth it for tablets and laptops. With a keyboard, unless you're traveling with your keyboard, it's not worth it. But I'm sure it will stand the test of time. The question is whether there will be electronics.
