Overall this light works very well. Bright, lots of color options and programming, and it has some cool effects. But there are a few things that really bother me now that I've been using it for a while. This is a 24 hour light with daylight settings and moonlight settings. . I used the built in timer and currently have the moonlight off as the aquarium is my room and I don't want the lights on all night. But there are still times when I like to turn on the moonlight when I get home to check out the aquarium an hour or two before bed. What annoys me is that every time I press one of the moonlight buttons, instead of just turning on the moonlight, the light quickly flashes to FULL BRIGHTNESS, startling every creature in my tank, and then dims until the moonset. I decided. Also, if there is a power outage or if you turn off the light, you have to turn the timer back on manually with the remote control. It doesn't sound like much, but if you're out of town and there's even a 2 second power cut, your tank won't have a light until you get home and can recharge it. As I said. , overall it gets the job done, but I'm not happy with some of those extra features I paid for.
