I bought it, expecting to use it and clean my 55 gallons tank, but I ended up not using it for a very long period of time. Before I bought the algae eaters, my aquarium used to always build up algae on its glass. This product kept it easy to clean. The magnets used in this item are so powerful! To be honest, I tried to look for flaws in this item, but I just couldn't find any. I just gets the job done perfectly when used, and it is for half of the price of the ones found at my local fish store!

Alright. So. I have a 250 gallon glass fish tank. I purchased one of those "green felt" tank cleaners and it just wasn't doing its job. This little gadget, on the other hand, turned scrub-a-dub dubbin' into a super easy "task". From package to clean tank in about 10 minutes. I gave this five stars because although the implement is unwieldy and the magnet is too strong for my situation, it should not be accessed on the basis of my incorrect choice. I bought this magnetic tank cleaner a couple of months ago and it's been working very well. I had a lot of hard water stains on the glass that I couldn't remove and now I'm seeing them less and less which is great.One thing I would suggest though is to have some directions/instructions included in the box because it took my boyfriend and I a while to figure out how to attach the blade correctly. Even just some close-up pictures of the blade inserted would help. Other than that, no complaints.

Does exactly what it says it does. It's a magnetic algae scraper. It's tough but didnt scratch my glass. I had hair algae growing in one wall of the tank, a thick layer of it too. Busted right through it. I will say to use caution near the edges of the tank. Its heavy and the magnets are strong. It didnt happen, but I could easily see it happening. I liked the product at first, it has great magnetic holding power and buoyancy when separated. BUT, after the fourth time using it the felt pads glue is coming off around the edges. Worse than that, the glue that was used on the felt leaves smears on the glass. This glue is hard to clean off so I’ve gone back to cleaning with a sponge by hand. It’s easier to clean by hand than to spend 20 minutes trying to clean the glue streaks off of the 65 gallon tank glass. The handle is hard to hang on too

I got the large magnet cleaner for a 120-gal mix reef. It works well. I like the low profile of the scrubber. My previous Mag-Float was a little taller and sometimes got stuck between the rocks and the glass. The metal scraper removes coralline algae effectively, although, be careful not to remove the silicone sealant lining the corners of the tank. I bought the large size because i have a 50 gallon tank. I was cleaning the glass and the scrapper came off during use and I had to fish it out and of course it sunk to the bottom. didnt stay on longer than 5 minutes. As annoying as it was the scrapper worked really really really well.

Easy to use and sturdy, but it takes repeated swipes to remove the algae from the glass on my 75 gallon tank. Looking back I should have ordered the jumbo magnetic cleaner instead of the large one. It does work, but the magnet needs to be stronger so the bottom doesn't lag and skip sections of algae behind. For the price it's a good deal that gets the job done, but for a 75 gallon tank get the jumbo.

This aquarium glass cleaner works very well. It’s super easy to use and has a very strong magnet that holds the two pieces together. It’s well-made and a great value for the price. I highly recommend it.

This scrubber works really well. I let my algae grow on my tank for about a month.it got really gross. The scrubber works a lot better when you attach the little black edge scraper. It took off algae so fast my water became really cloudy and I had to do almost a full water change. This concept is awesome. I never knew there were magnetic aquarium cleaners until I recently started up a tank and was watching care videos and had to have one! This price is great for what you get. We added the plastic scraper and it really got off the hard spots that I couldn't get off with elbow grease and old scrubber. I bought this for a tall hexagon shaped tank and it works well. I was worried that it wouldn’t be able to go around the edges/corners, but I was happily surprised that I can navigate the cleaner around all sides. It’s a strong magnetic and must have to keep the aquarium clean! This one is for glass, so make sure your aquarium is glass before buying. They make different ones for acrylic tanks.
