The Mini-P is a 3-axis gimbal designed for use with a smartphone or action camera. I've had the chance to test it on both now, with great results. Admittedly, it takes a few minutes to get your bearings and figure out how to set everything up, but once that's done the device works flawlessly. Pro Tip: You must balance and level your device on the gimbal before it will work properly. If you don't, he will stumble instead of finding his balance. It took me a bit of fiddling to get it right. But when I did, the performance was great. The three axes ensure your footage is smoothly stabilized and it was really nice to be able to use the joystick to move the camera. It comes with a tripod that can be connected to the bottom, but as it is a standard thread you can use any other accessory of your choice if you want to use an extension pole with this connector for example (a selfie stick for example ). Everything is also nicely packaged in a sturdy box. The instructions leave a lot to be desired, but there are reviews and videos you can find online to help with some of the finer details. I was also able to find device software on the App Store to connect my iPhone. FYI, while this isn't advertised, some might be curious: this doesn't work with a DSLR, or at least mine (Canon T6) doesn't. The lens and camera body combination was too big for the stabilizer. I think a smaller camera and lens would be fine.
