Review on πŸ¦† Durable Weatherstripping with Duck Heavy Duty Adhesive - Model 282433 by John Patterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mine was very sticky - excellent adhesion

I have a sliding glass door and there is a small gap that allows draft and noise to pass through. (The gap between a sliding door and a fixed door when the door panel is closed.) I had previously bought no-name sealing tape at a hardware store and had trouble sticking it. Thought I'd give Duck Brand a try as I love their tape and duct tape. This material is great - thick and well made. I also know other people have complained about stickiness, but mine was very sticky. You only had about 10 seconds to reposition it before it got stuck. And it's stuck - I mean really stuck. I used the seal in a dual stripe configuration. I didn't split the strip - instead I placed a 'window strip' and 'a strip' on top of the fiberglass frame, sealing the gap completely and leaving the two strips connected. I can't comment on how well this sealant works if you open/close your door panel frequently, but it works great for us because we hardly ever open that particular window. No more drafts - no more noise. I would buy this again.
