Review on Aquasana AQ 5300 3-Stage Replacement Cartridges: High-Performance Refills for Crystal-Clear Water by Jeff Sorensen

Same problems as everyone else: slight leaks every time from every cartridge and low/no flow because the built in check valves in the cartridge bodies are not properly rated for the cartridge. But the apparent water quality and flow rate is better than anything we've tried, so I'm willing to play around with it for an hour every time I change the filters until the leaks stop and water flows. Adding something between the body and the bottom of the cartridge (I used a 3/4" piece of PET tubing cut lengthwise) seems to push the cartridge higher to fully release the fasteners - this loosens the low/no flow problem. .I will try other reviewers tricks to fix leaks - my current process is to quench the threads and o-rings, monitor and repeat indefinitely until the water stops dripping on the threads and it's insane. Proofreading is that I'm trying to justify even three stars - the design flaws are preposterous and should be so easy to fix that their failure to fix them is a little insulting, but I'm happy to fiddle around and in working condition would be the product 4.75 stars! (Maybe just one star if you don't want/can't fiddle around to get it right - don't risk a leak!)
