Review on 🌡️ Spectra CU2481 Complete Radiator by Yung Kaelin

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The second time is nice, somehow.

The first order was checked for eligibility by the Revain service and was completely wrong which is also good as the unit I received was suspect anyway. It shipped in a double box, which is fine, but the second box was so large that the first inner box had enough room to slam into it, causing the multiple tabs on the heatsink (all plastic) to bottom out and tear numerous holes everywhere. There were a few bubbles of foam that could have formed in place, but even the inner box was so big that by the time the UPS finished its spell the whole thing had fallen apart and was all in a heap at the bottom of the box torn and punctured box. I contacted Revain to initiate a return and everything went as it should so I ordered a replacement for my replacement to make sure I had a real picture of the real product this time to compare to my own. Well, shame on me, I only compared two dimensions, overall width and height. The second unit was properly packaged (with styrofoam blocks at each end, and the heatsink tanks are fully protected by a precisely formed cutout made specifically for this product. This allowed no shifting or movement within the same box and the heatsink core surfaces themselves were reasonably accurate and centered in the middle of the box so nothing could touch them unless the box was completely crushed (no UPS, that wasn't a problem) Everything looked great except for one glaring difference which was my intended OEM -Replacement was 3/16" thinner where it counts (ribbed core), all around the heatsink. Inch thick, those 3/16" might make a big difference, but after wasting a week already, with the first one messing around with the wrong size product i have to risk this bait and trade junk for another.out of sheer necessity, because I need to get my jeep back on the road (I do real basic services, no haircuts or tattoos). I also got an extended warranty so we'll see if the shrunken junk can do the job. I'll be sure to post again whether that's the case or not, but the fact that it's a lot thinner than the original hardware it replaces doesn't really hurt my confidence. Besides, it's just a slippery trick. Nowadays it's always the same; Every business wants to try to save a dollar to make more money and eventually the working people screw up and everything goes on as usual.
