This particular block is SUPER soft. When trying to remove the balance nut from my 93 FLSTF it just sucked it into the pinion. Even with my compensator sprocket in the 9 o'clock position, it continued to flex and didn't give me the feedback needed to loosen the nut. I ended up putting a piece of wood on the back of the compensator after the nylon piece. I'm finally free. So why 3 stars? Well, my chain was worn out. I mean daaaaaammm, that's Gone Baby, exhausted and stretched. So that could be part of the problem, and I give the tool the benefit of the doubt. I mean, once I put the new primary chain in, it worked pretty well to retighten everything. However, I have to wonder if Harley's original chain is better or not at around $40. Anyway, next time I'll buy a strike plate and use it. This should get the job done with no problems.
