Right tool for the job

Had to replace the stator on my 06 Heritage Softail and this part is needed to lock the rotor drive chain in place to fully loosen and tighten (tighten) the rotor nut. That's what it's made for.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • dull packaging

This is a must have tool

This small tool is needed to loosen the compensator nut on my 1994 HD FLHTCU. Torque specs for this nut are 150-165 ft-lbs and it held up. If you're replacing a stator, you'll need to get one

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Works as advertised

Product definitely works I would give 5 stars but it's a bit boring, the gear tears it up so not sure how often it will work. But it does the job and doesn't damage the sprocket teeth. Overall I was happy for the price and saved time.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poorly designed

but when i got this little marvelous tool i only freed it for a few.

I tried a few other homemade tools while attempting to loosen the gorilla compensator nut. Nothing worked, but when I received this wonderful little tool, I parted with it in just a few minutes. It's absolutely worth 5x what it's worth.

Pros
  • Lasting Test Results
Cons
  • Some Cons

According to the seller not intended for use!

Complete distortion of the position! DO NOT buy this as a crank/cam lock tool for your Harley Davidson! A piece of wood inserted between the crank and the cam performs the same function as this POS. Buy a tool designed for the job! Not that a guy I borrowed from marketing said to sell it!

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • There are doubts

Ideal for Twin-Cam first service

Works great. If used as intended, you don't have to worry about it breaking or deforming. I was able to remove the balance sprocket and reinstall it on my '01 Softail torqued 165 ftlbs and red Loctite applied. Porta Cable's Electric Impact Wrench is great for removal and is cheap if you don't have a pneumatic drill.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • New competition is here

Is it working? Yes. Will it work again? Yes. The only downside to using one of these devices instead of a bar lock is that they will bend and it can take a few seconds and a few movements for them to retract into the sprocket and actually stop it from turning. it worked. to me. I'll probably buy the steel rod style next time just for convenience, but it did the job and I'm sure it will do it again, but it won't last forever. The image is displayed after removing/reinstalling the primary deviceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Damn, that thing is soft!

This particular block is SUPER soft. When trying to remove the balance nut from my 93 FLSTF it just sucked it into the pinion. Even with my compensator sprocket in the 9 o'clock position, it continued to flex and didn't give me the feedback needed to loosen the nut. I ended up putting a piece of wood on the back of the compensator after the nylon piece. I'm finally free. So why 3 stars? Well, my chain was worn out. I mean daaaaaammm, that's Gone Baby, exhausted and stretched. So that could beโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Not All Will Fit
