Works great, lots of apps!

After the guest fumbled for the light in the middle of the night and first pressed the attic light switch and "didn't work", he pressed another switch and the hall light came on. After 4 days I noticed that the light in the attic was on all the time. With 100 watt bulb. I replaced the lightbulb with an old CFL I had laying around, put a piece of tape over the light switch and labeled it "attic". I turn on the light in the attic. You are perfect for this task! The switch is still available, but it takes full intent to turn it on - no more crashes! And it looks way better than the ribbon solution. I also have a lightbulb with a helper in my kitchen corner. It's the dimmer (the old round ones) that should always be on "Maximum". Again I used duct tape to keep people from turning the knob. Here I removed the round bar and installed one of these. It just looks like a covered switch - so much more attractive! My trash chute switch is right next to the overhead light switch, so people would often walk by to turn on the light and wince when the trash can went out. So I changed the switch from the default white to gray to indicate it's different. Some helped, but not completely. I put one of them on the switch and now there are no more "oops" incidents! As I install more assistant-enabled devices on switched outlets/lights, they become more and more convenient.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
