Ok I bought this to try as I wasn't sure what to expect. It's essentially a thin, thin sheet that's printed with a specific leather pattern on one side. and on the other hand bad glue. Doesn't hold up well. After trying it, I remove it from the object and throw it in the trash. I went to my local fabric store and bought real leather fabric to work with. Much better, easier to work with.

This is completely different from the picture in the ad. This material is very shiny with sequins in it. Almost looks like black aluminum. Definitely not a soft touch. You can run your fingernail over it and it will make a loud scratching noise. Perfect shit. I'll be back tomorrow. What a complete disappointment. I hope it was a mistake and they sent me the wrong product. I hope to hear from VViViD soon.

I have to admit I was very skeptical about this product but I had a dashboard that was damaged by an air freshener leak. The dealer asked for $1,800 to fix the dashboard. Someone offers me this product. Here is the repair with VViViD Black Leather Vinyl. The torpedo had a platform with a curved area under the clock. Using a heat gun and wrapping is perfect for this. The repair looks the same as the original dashboard. Couldn't be happier.

1.5 x 5 feet NOTHING looks like leather. The image of Revain is very misleading. More like soot. NO grainy pattern. The barcode sticker says fine-grain soft leather, but that's not quite right. Running Revain should check to see if this item is mislabeled. Serious. Another reviewer added a barcode and a picture of the same vinyl as mine in February 2020. it looks like soot (NOT something like leather).

Put leather vinyl on a glass topped table and it looks amazing. I hate glass desktops: fingerprints, dust, need a mouse pad, noisy (seriously, glass is the worst!) This film has made a huge improvement and I no longer need a mouse pad. I bought this product because I thought I could apply it to the interior plastic parts (not the fairing) of my 2017 Hyundai Elantra. The original plastic interior parts have the same fine grain texture as the vinyl, but I wanted to make them black. The thickness of the paper would be exaggerated. Vinyl is much thinner than the paper it is glued to. Thinner than normal contact paper. I used one piece to line the bottom of a 1ft x 1ft wooden dice tray and it did absolutely nothing to settle the dice. And you can see a little bit of grain and imperfections in the wood underneath every minute. And yes, the wood has been sanded. Despite all the issues others have reported related to poor shipping standards, my reel arrived in good condition. It was shipped in poor USPS bubble wrap and emphasizes what a terrible choice considering this product. Prepare for this adventure when ordering.
