Review on πŸ–€ Fine Grain Black Leather Wrap Adhesive Vinyl - Soft Touch | 1ft x 5ft | VViViD+ Edition by Derrick Feliciano

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very very very thin

The thickness of the paper would be exaggerated. Vinyl is much thinner than the paper it is glued to. Thinner than normal contact paper. I used one piece to line the bottom of a 1ft x 1ft wooden dice tray and it did absolutely nothing to settle the dice. And you can see a little bit of grain and imperfections in the wood underneath every minute. And yes, the wood has been sanded. I would have to use wood spatula and make it as smooth as glass so nothing shows through. And I know it says "fine grain," but if it were any finer, it would be microscopic. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because I think it will be useful. For trifles. I could see if you wanted to wrap the handle of something or a fancy pen cap. or as dollhouse furniture or something similar. I can't believe people used this stuff on a cracked dash or a cracked chair. I don't understand why the crack doesn't show through and looks like a terrible stain. It seems somewhat durable despite being thin. So if you had a bonded leather chair where the bonded leather separates from the invisible fabric but there are no real rips or tears, you would be fine. I would just like to understand how thin it is. Someone has to come up with some standardized thickness values for this kind of thing so you get what you expect.
