Nearly perfect. Works well but leaves a lot to be desired.

Despite all the issues others have reported related to poor shipping standards, my reel arrived in good condition. It was shipped in poor USPS bubble wrap and emphasizes what a terrible choice considering this product. Prepare for this adventure when ordering. As for the product itself, the vinyl worked very well. The air outlet worked almost perfectly, there were almost no air bubbles left. The only places I couldn't get air bubbles out were bumps in the surface and the vinyl wasn't flexible enough to stay in place. I'm guessing this would work just fine with a heat gun, but I didn't have one. It is incredibly thin and all surface imperfections are visible, but for my application this was not critical and I am very happy with the results. The glue seemed to work well enough, but I have some concerns about long-term use. - urgent reliability. I would have liked the glue to be a bit tackier but maybe that will surprise me in the future. I use this in my car so it sees extreme heat and cold. I will update and let you know if/when the glue doesn't work. The surface itself is not as structured as the product images show, but actually not bad. It's definitely not a "soft touch" but the appearance is almost exactly the same as the original vinyl on this car interior. I used this to replace a broken vinyl on the rear cargo pack on my 1991 Nissan 300ZX which they are known for. Bottom line: I'm overall impressed considering the cost, but if I were to make it again I'd probably go to your local craft store for similar supplies and use my own glue. Especially when looks, texture and reliability are paramount. If it's going to be used in a car or for another craft project I think it will work very well. 4/5 stars.
