Mythical feel in a stunning journal

I was a bit hesitant to buy this after reading the reviews but decided to go for it and I must say I am so happy I did! This journal is absolutely gorgeous, the leather is stunning, the dragon embossed is perfect, the locking clasp gives it a mythical look. The stitching is very well done and sturdy. The pages are thick and seem to be of good quality. This is a gift for my niece who is turning 10 and loves dragons, I know this is a gift she will keep for many many years.

Overpriced, too small, questionable quality

Misread the description, expected something much larger in a 11x8.5" format, my bad. Paper seems of reasonable quality for what it is meant for. Otherwise, the "gem" is very cheesy plastic from what I can tell, and not even clear through and through. Front page was damaged by insides of the cover, both dye leakage and pressure imprints of leather lace work holding the "gem panel in place. Suggest the manufacturer includes some sort of liner or backing to inner front cover to prevent this…

Beautiful journal - my new review

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. I think he will love it and it arrived exactly as I hoped it would. The embossing is deep and you can clearly tell that a dragon is on the front. The stone is a pretty teal color. The pages are almost cloth-like. The leather is soft and pliable. The lock slides right in and fits perfectly.He loves medieval style things, and this journal definitely fits his style. I might order another one just me, too.

Very happy with it!

I love this journal. It is made of genuine leather, and the paper is soft like the old days parchment paper. The pages are bound with a dark canopy rope, giving it that antique feeling. I write with liquid ink on it and it does not bleed through the paper. The craftsmanship is beautiful and obviously handmade which adds to the allure for me.

Could have been better

Product was okay the stones could have looked better but all in all its okay lil disappointed thought it was gonna look as good as the picture

Definitely "handmade ".

Binding is several chunks of paper stacked together. Don't buy if you're a perfectionist. But if you're going for that medieval look. This might be for you. Daughter is going to love it anyway due to the cover.

There is tearing on the holes for the paper and on the paper, as if the holes where not premade and the clasp keeps coming undone. Over all it's alright though and it is aesthetically pleasing.

gemstone poor quality

The only problem I have, and it's not even that big of one, is the fact that the stones are seemingly poor quality, they don't have hardly and sheen and look almost nothing like the picture. Otherwise it's a beautiful item.

Cheaply made. in my review

Cheaply made, no attention to detail. There is bleed through of the die, cracks in the top surface of the leather and blue pen marking on the inside of the cover. Very disappointed. I bought this to journal my travels, I would send it back but I am unable to do so while boondocking.

Kinda disappointed in my review

The journal itself if fantastic but the stone on the front is a dark brown and I was super disappointed I bought this specific journal for the stone on the front but at least the pages inside are nice I did a drawing in it yesterday and went over it in black marker and it didn't bleed through

Feels very authentic, this is the kind of thing you want to write some cool stuff in, but the sides of the pages were a little stained from the leather.

Gave this to my 16 year old for her birthday. That's my feedback! Love the chakra stones on the front. Very sturdy with thick journal paper.

I bought this as a gift for an 8 year old girl so that she could have a journal to write her fantasy stories. It looks handmade and mysterious. She thought it was very cool. If treated gently, I think it will hold up.

Great Journal but I wish the stone was blue

The journal is very good quality with a sturdy bind and pages, however I wish the one I received had a blue stone like the picture suggests. Mine is an odd dark color. I ordered this journal specifically for the stone so I was a bit disappointed. But other than that the journal is 100% exactly what the pictures show.

Given to a Gifted Artist

This was brought as a gift for my son who is an artist. He loved the texture and size of this journal which he can take with him and pull it out when it is needed. He also enjoyed the uniqueness of the stone on the cover.
