Review on ๐Ÿšด Kool Stop Thinline Threaded Cantilever Brake Pads - Linear Brake System by Charlie Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A salvation for narrow fork frames

The biggest advantage of these pads is that they are thin enough to fit in the narrow forks and allow enough working room, like my classic Pinarello steel cyclocross frame. I've been using Kool Stop pads on both MTB and CX bikes for over two decades and they are in some ways the gold standard for performance, high quality, affordable and durable brake pads. They have nothing exotic. It's just a good design that doesn't require much modification. The only downside is that these thinner pads don't last very long, especially in rain and mud. I drive about 7000 miles a year and I get a few in 3 months.
