Used for Tech1 Swift Water Rescue Training -

Bought these for a 3 day Swift Water Rescue Tech1 training course. While they appear to be well made, the application we used them for had some downsides. While they can be good for training, I do NOT recommend them if you plan on using them for a quick water rescue. The grip wasn't very good for river use. On land they stick perfectly, but not in the river. It was very slippery on any wet rock but not on some other water boots. There is no ankle support, which is a big issue when using it in the river. They will probably fit perfectly even though they are designed for diving shoes. Not for use on rocky rivers or rough terrain due to lack of traction and support. A plus is the thickness of the soul. I stepped on a medium sized hook fishing lure and it didn't hurt my foot. They were also warmer than some other boots in temperatures of 40-60 degrees.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • Nothing here
