I use two of these sensors in my Home Assistant (HASS) ecosystem without a proprietary sensor hub. They use the Zigbee protocol and simply connect to HASS. Since these are terminal devices, I recommend placing them near a relay device (mains powered device) or closer to the hub you are using. The batteries last at least 2 months (I haven't changed the batteries since I got them and they are about 50% charged) depending on how often they send data. I use one in the attic and bathroom for temperature, pressure and humidity data. The reporting frequency is more than sufficient and I have no problems connecting or reconnecting to the sensors when the HASS server loses power. The attached image shows all three readings over a 24 hour period. The data spike occurs when I've showered for 1 minute (in the bathroom) which shows how sensitive the humidity and temperature sensors are. The pressure data is very "blocky" because it measures small atmospheric changes of about 0.03 inches of mercury (about 1 hPa on the graph), which is far more detail than I'll ever need. I highly recommend this sensor if you need simple temperature, humidity and pressure data.
