Bought a house with outdoor fans that worked but no lights. Bought they didn't look like the others but connected and work great.

Except for the packaging (I had to order two of these and they came to me in a box about twenty times larger than they should be and with no padding, just rolling around aimlessly in that box) they seem to do the job close. It is very difficult to find a part for a very common double round fluorescent tube problem so I was glad to find this part.

Because of its size, my kitchen light is very uncomfortable to handle. I replaced one of the two ballasts a few years ago. I then had to swap both. The original ballasts were Sunpark branded and specified. To change the ballasts, the device must be removed from the ceiling. The only complaint I have is that the black and white wires seem to be a few inches shorter. This makes it tedious to connect them to wires in the ceiling. The circular lighting on one of our Hunter fans stopped working. It turned out to be ballast. This device was cheap and worked great. The lamp connection is standard and works perfectly. I had to connect the 120v plug from the original ballast to this one then it was all plug and play. The wires were much longer than needed for my application, I cut them before splicing. My fluorescent tube bought about 5 years ago was broken. Replaced the bulb, of course, but that didn't help. Only ballast was assumed to be the cause. The old ballast was practically built into the lamp, but there was still enough space for the Sunpark LC-12014T. I ordered Sunpark and it arrived in 2 days. I ordered two of these ballasts to replace the ballasts in a dual fluorescent downlight. These were the exact same ballasts that blew out after a few years of use and the installation was a quick replacement. Although inexpensive, the total cost of two ballasts is unlikely to be justified if an aging luminaire fails again. We hope that LED bulbs will improve and become cheaper in the near future. I have a nice GE Profile C handheld lamp which ballast died after about 6 months of use. As this is a bulky item shipping under warranty was not worth it and I would have gotten a replacement rather than a repair which I am the sentimental type. Anyway, it hung around for a few years while my mom regularly told me to throw it out.
