The rubber has excellent grip. If this is your primary consideration, you may shop with confidence since the automobile will act predictably and its braking and acceleration will make sense. On my car, however, which has double windows and excellent sound insulation, including wheel arches, I did not anticipate that a summer tire would be this noisy. Hankook and the less priced Kumho were available before that, and they were indisputable quieter on all surfaces. Up to 60 km/h or at high speeds on very good asphalt, Michelin is quiet. However, after 120 km/h, I believe the asphalt's quality does not improve, and the rubber creates a lot of noise. If I were to choose a new set of tires, I would go with something softer from the Continental or Michelin lineup.
