*Update October 21st: I have come to the conclusion that this product does not meet the claimed deodorizing properties, mainly because I still have an ongoing odor problem in my aquarium. This product was clearly designed to act like soap (because it contains surfactants) and so will likely work well for clogs, flushing grease and debris down the drain, along with the odor they cause. After checking the ingredients, this product does not contain any probiotics or substances that digest harmful bacteria (although it claims to neutralize odor). I've been eyeing black van tank odor eliminators for weeks. I've been using "Happy Camper" for over a year, but for some reason it stopped working about four months ago. Could be a quality control issue on your end. With this product, one bag is enough for about 1/2 standard size black aquarium if you don't leave it for a few days. It would be perfect for weekend hikes. At full capacity, we empty our tanks when they are full - probably once a week, sometimes longer. One pack does absolutely nothing - maybe even make the smell worse - compared to having no additives. The two packs seem to work well and keep the odor really low, especially when flushing the toilet with an almost full tank. I'm not sure if this is the most economical solution, but it works for now.
