These straws are a smart investment for your kitchen. There is less plastic waste in the world, they are not soaked and decorated. Although I found it a bit strange that the company that sells them marked our straws with "pentagrams". Instead of just saying "stars". In elementary school we got a gold star for doing something good. No golden pentagram. Just a funny thing I noticed about the product information because it sounds a bit menacing when it obviously isn't. Okay, now for an interesting thing I noticed about you. I can use them with soda and other fizzy drinks without ice. They weigh a little more than most thin plastic straws. You can't tell the difference by holding one or touching it. Feels like a normal straw. But have you ever tried putting a plastic straw in a soda can or in a soda cup that doesn't contain ice? You should sit and watch your straw gently rise while bubbles gather around it until it's almost completely out of the glass. A little trick I've used to fix this is to simply grab the metal tab on top of the soda pop and twist it until it's over the drink spout. Then slide the straw through the circle into the metal tab and squeeze the tab until it "pins" the straw against the hole. But these straws mean I don't have to do that anymore. Basically, it's a really cool convenience that no one's ever mentioned, but it should be one of the reasons you're buying it. It is also nice that they are biodegradable. We have several compost bins on our land, outside of our home and family members' homes scattered around our property. So this is one more thing we can add to compost bins. It would be beneficial to learn more about what exactly they were made from or where they were made (the company is based in China). But hopefully I can take their word for it that every piece of it will break completely. Plus, you can use them for some really cool arts and crafts projects. It's just so much better than drinking. If you are looking for good paper straws that might look better than the cheap stores or supermarkets, order some today.
